Part One
There are strategic, democratic, and biblical issues surrounding the Israeli government's evacuation and retreat from Gaza and Northern Samaria two weeks ago. This is the first message/journal we have written addressing these issues directly but I feel it is time once again to who the prophetic import of the events going on in Israel today. This message is also a warning to America and the leaders of the current administration to stop pressuring Israel on caving into Palestinian pressure and seeking to exchange land for peace. Peace is not coming to the Middle East friend. What lies ahead in the weeks/months to come will be something that the annals of eternity will record as man's darkest hour before Messiah Jesus comes back to rule and reign on Planet Earth.

TEXT: Joel 3:1-3 - For, behold, in those days, and in that time, when I shall bring again the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem, [2] I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land. [3] And they have cast lots for my people; and have given a boy for an harlot, and sold a girl for wine, that they might drink.
1 Chron. 16:13-18
O ye seed of Israel his servant, ye children of Jacob, his chosen ones. [14] He
is the Lord our God; his judgments are in all the earth. [15] Be ye mindful
always of his covenant; the word which he commanded to a thousand generations;
[16] Even of the covenant which he made with Abraham, and of his oath unto
Isaac; [17] And hath confirmed the same to Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an
everlasting covenant, [18] Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the
lot of your inheritance;
I am writing this message two days after the fourth anniversary of America's greatest tragedy on her soil - the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. I pray this message will serve to summon intercessors once again to a place of urgent prayer for the nation, its leaders, President Bush, Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, and a sleeping church in the midst of coming storm that is about to sweep this nation as a whirlwind of fire. There's a storm coming neighbor. I can hear the distant rumbles of prophetic thunder in the distance, and see the forked images of impending lightning in the distance, signifying that God is about to confront a nation once so proud, now yet so sinful, rebellious and wicked.
There are strategic, democratic, and biblical issues surrounding the Israeli government's evacuation and retreat from Gaza and Northern Samaria two weeks ago and the recent devastation experienced by America through Hurricane Katrina. More importantly, the events in Gaza two weeks ago signal yet another warning sign that the times we are living in are LATE and the rapture is getting ever so closer to taking place.
This is the first message/journal we have written addressing these most recent issues directly even though we had wrote a similar type message in 2001. I felt led that it is time once again to show the prophetic import of the events going on in Israel today. This message I pray will also serve as a warning to America and the leaders of the current administration to stop pressuring Israel to give up land for peace to the Palestinian Authority. By caving into Palestinian pressure and seeking to exchange land for peace, America is putting itself in great peril and danger with God. Peace is not coming to the Middle East friend - at least not until Jesus comes back and rules and reigns from Jerusalem!
What lies ahead in the weeks/months to come will be something that the annals of eternity will record as man's darkest hour before Messiah Jesus comes back to rule and reign on Planet Earth The following is parts of a prophetic word we received just days ago from Avner Boskey and David Trent, Messianic believers on the ground in Northern Samaria, who witnessed first hand the devastation in the hearts and lives of thousands of Israeli citizens who were made refugees because of the American-brokered Israeli withdrawal from Gaza.
This is what Trent wrote:
|
An
ancient Indian proverb cautions care when using one's finger to
point something out. A passing onlooker may end up focusing on the
finger, and may totally miss the object to which one was pointing!
In Matthew 16:1-3, Yeshua warns that it is possible to be aware of
current events while at the same time totally missing what these
events are prophetically pointing to. Even a weatherman can miss the
significance of a coming storm! |
Over the past 30 years,
America has experienced tragic consequences through either natural disaster,
political upheaval, or financial collapse, the same day or within 24 hours
of Israel being pressured to divide her land. In the case of Hurricane Katrina,
which will turn out to be America's most costly natural disaster ever, a time
frame of about 14 days elapsed from August 17, the date of the first withdrawal
of Israeli citizens in Gaza, to the Hurricane striking New Orleans on August 29. During the presidencies of George H.W. Bush and Bill Clinton, some 29
record-setting catastrophes and/or major events occurred. From October, 2001 to
January, 2004 eight periods of disruption occurred in the United States
following 9-11-2001 terror events when the President George W. Bush attempted to
divide Israel's land. And in the fall of 2004 the United States witnessed the
horror of four hurricanes hitting the state of Florida, two of which carved
paths that made an "X" in the center of the state!
Joel 3:1-2
For, behold, in those days, and in that time, when I shall bring again the
captivity of Judah and Jerusalem, [2] I will also gather all nations, and will
bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there
for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the
nations, and parted my land.
During this same period, some 31 major suicide bombings in Israel occurred at the same time President George W. Bush or one of his top-level staff and/or one of Israel's top officials were working with the U.S. on either a cease-fire agreement, a peace deal, or publicly stating Israel's approval of a Palestinian state, or Israel was about to evacuate property. Previous Presidents such as Gerald R. Ford, Richard Nixon, Jimmy Carter and Ronald Reagan were at times at odds with Israel over the land issue. George H.W. Bush, however, was the first American president to actively and outwardly come out and state that the way to peace in the Middle East was for Israel to give up her covenant land.
God's Word To Abraham
In the Bible, God speaks to Abraham, the father of the Jewish nation of Israel, and directs him to the land of Canaan. In Genesis 12:1-3, He states without pause:
Genesis 12:1-3
Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy
kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee: [2] And
I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name
great; and thou shall be a blessing: [3] And I will bless them that bless thee,
and curse him that curses thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be
blessed.
Later in the same book, God tells
Abraham:
Genesis 15:18
In the same day the Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have
I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river
Euphrates:
And two chapters later, God speaks
again concerning the land of Canaan:
Genesis 17:7
And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in
their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy
seed after thee.
The Bible also says Israel must be mindful of God's covenant with Abraham:
1 Chron. 16:13-18
O ye seed of Israel his servant, ye children of Jacob, his chosen ones. [14] He
is the Lord our God; his judgments are
in all the earth. [15] Be ye
mindful always of his covenant; the word which he commanded to a thousand
generations; [16] Even of the covenant which he made with Abraham, and of
his oath unto Isaac; [17] And hath confirmed the same to Jacob for a law, and to
Israel for an everlasting covenant, [18] Saying,
Unto thee will I give the land of
Canaan, the lot of your inheritance;
America is now experiencing the
consequences (curses) of Middle East policies, which have been opposed to God's
Word and to the preservation of His covenant land. Even since the Madrid Peace
Conference of October, 1991, the Unites States participation in Israel's destiny
has been flawed and in direct opposition to the declarations of Jehovah God.
The events of September 11, 2001 were a wake up call, as stated by David Trent in this powerful prophetic word he sent out two weeks ago as of the date of this writing (September 13, 2005). About 2 years ago a new term has surfaced in American politics towards Israel, "the Road Map." The "Road Map," which has the support of Europe, Russia, China and even the Vatican has affirmed the land for peace approach that has brought judgment after judgment upon our land in repeated fashion.
In two previous messages on this subject in 2001, we felt the Holy Spirit constraining our hearts to warn the nation and those leading it that if we continue to adhere to such foolishness when it comes to Israel, we can expect further and further lifting of the Lord's protective hand in an even greater measure. Israel's very existence, though never out of God's hands - the God of Israel never slumbers nor sleeps, is in grave danger in the sense of her national security, because of our nation's sponsorship of "land for peace" plans, which have led her to the brink of war with her Arab neighbors, who in reality are her Arab enemies! Israel's existence will never cease, don't get me wrong, but if America's pressure allows her enemies to destroy the boundaries of safety, then God is going to destroy OUR boundaries of safety! In part two of this message, we will show you events of 9-11-2001 that literally will illustrate this point BY THE HOUR!
One of America's main purposes for even being here in the first place, other than to be a beacon of hope to a world in darkness with the light of religious freedom and democracy, was to be a future protector of Israel at all costs! The Arab and Islamic world has been actively trying to wipe out the Jewish State of Israel since the late 1940's. The PLO has made the destruction of Israel its organizational strategy since its inception in 1964, whether by direct armed attack or by "the plan of stages" -- whittling off pieces of Israel, through diplomacy, until direct military attack can be decisive. The nations of the world and, in particular, the USA, have also been advocating a political process which would divide up the biblical land of Israel. The organization known as the Quartet (composed of the USA, the European Union, the UN, and Russia; (see www.state.gov/r/pa/prs/ps/2003/20062.htm
The U.S. has been pushing since 2003 for what it has euphemistically been
labeled "a performance-based and
goal-driven roadmap, with clear phases, timelines, target dates, and benchmarks
aiming at . . . a permanent two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian
conflict." Since unimpeded access to Islamic oil is essential
for Western economies, and since oil access is also connected with progress on
dividing the land of Israel, it has become a clear policy goal of oil
multinationals, Saudi Arabia, and allies in the U.S. State Department and the
C.I.A., to push for strategies to make this dream a reality. Two books which
throw light on these strategies are: "The Secret War Against The Jews: How
Western Intelligence Betrayed the Jewish People" by John Loftus and Mark Aarons
(www.john-loftus.com) and "Sleeping With the Devil: How Washington Sold Our Soul
for Saudi Crude" by former C.I.A. Middle East case officer Robert Baer. Loftus
and Baer are commentators for the FOX Channel.
It is to be assumed that Prime
Minister Ariel Sharon has already run into these international and strategic
hardball pressures. There is a place for much compassion here. What would you do
if you were Israel's PM, you did not believe the Scriptures, and you needed to
simultaneously fend off U.S. pressure, terrorist attacks, and impending legal
action against yourself (possibly) and your own children (certainly) for illegal
campaign funding? It seems that Sharon hoped that he could gain world
sympathy by a unilateral disengagement, while simultaneously freezing world
pressure against further withdrawals. But U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza
Rice recently popped that balloon on August 18, 2005, in a NY Times article with
Joel Brinkley and Steven R. Weisman. She
"offered sympathy for the Israeli settlers who are being removed from their
homes in Gaza" but also made it clear that she expected Israel and
the Palestinians to take further steps, in short order, toward the creation of a
Palestinian state.
"Everyone empathizes with what the Israelis are facing," Ms. Rice said in an
interview. But, she added, "It cannot be Gaza only."
In a recent TV interview here in
Israel, former Consul General of Israel in New York, Alon Pinkas, stated that,
with the evacuation from Gaza, "the U.S. has seen the victory of its
38-year-old policy." American Rice and Israeli Pinkas dovetail in agreeing
that the evacuation of Gaza was a long-standing U.S. policy goal, and that the
continuing division of the biblical land of Israel is an ongoing U.S. strategic
goal.
The Time of the Dividing Up of the Land of Israel
So, the evacuation from Gaza is not
taking place in a vacuum. At this point, with the exile of the Jewish remnant
from the Gaza Strip and from parts of Northern Samaria, the world has now
entered into the period which can be called "the time of the dividing up the
land of Israel." The first fruits have been seen globally on television this
past week. It is unfortunate that the U.S. is one of the prime movers in this
dividing process.
This season will involve intensified
world focus on and preoccupation with forcing Israel to retreat from other
portions of the biblical heartland. It will involve political, economic, and
military pressure. Two decades ago, an internationally respected, prophetic
brother prophesied that the USA would face another oil embargo when a man named
Abdullah would become King over Saudi Arabia. Abdullah acceded to the Saudi
throne on August 3, 2005. The economic pressures against Israel will also
include oil embargoes against the USA and other countries -- Islamic oil weapons
crafted to weaken connections between those countries and the state of Israel.
We have been warning about the
immediacy of this biblical scenario for nearly 12 years. What is sobering is
that in the first round of this battle, Israel has been pressured into
evacuating portions of its own lands. As a result of this there are several
possible scenarios as to what is ahead. David Trent further elaborated in his
prophecy that:
"There will be a concerted effort on the part of enemy Arab nations to occupy all of the land of Israel and to destroy the Jewish state. The enemy will be characterized by murderous spite, derision, and hate-filled joy (Ezekiel 36). All of the nations mentioned in this future pan-Arab attack, described in Psalm 83, are presently Islamic. Look for a jihadi Islamic context in this future war against the Jewish state. Based on Ezekiel 38-39 this coming jihadi invasion of Israel will be decisively defeated. The nations of the world will continue to attempt to divide the land of Israel and will finally use military force to achieve this goal. This will result in severe judgment on those nations and the return of Messiah Yeshua (Joel 3:1-3). In pursuit of the above strategy, the nations will invade Israel and divide Jerusalem, expelling or evacuating Jews from East Jerusalem while allowing them to remain in West Jerusalem. This evacuation will directly catalyze the return of Messiah Yeshua (Zechariah 14:12-21)."
All these things remain to be seen.
The only thing this writer would add to the above is that in the midst of this
upheaval and war will arise a man with a "answer" the this entire dilemma. He
may well appear after some of the foretold wars above are fought or in the midst
of this turmoil. No one really knows for sure how this all occur. What I do know
is this: Israel will accept this man, known as the Antichrist, and in return, he
will offer her a seven-year peace treaty where he, more than likely, will agree
to protect her from her Arab enemies in lieu of her allegiance. Israel will hail
this man as her Messiah, even though he will be the devil incarnate. In the
midst of this treaty he will break his promise, invade Israel and defeat her for
the first time in her history.
Matthew 24:13-22
But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. [14] And this
gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all
nations; and then shall the end come.
[15] When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by
Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him
understand:) [16] Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the
mountains: [17] Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing
out of his house: [18] Neither let him which is in the field return back to take
his clothes. [19] And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give
suck in those days! [20] But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter,
neither on the sabbath day: [21] For then shall be great tribulation, such as
was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
[22] And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved:
but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.
Daniel 7:7-9
After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and
terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and
brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse
from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns. [8] I considered
the horns, and, behold, there came up among them
another little horn, before whom
there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold,
in this horn were eyes like the eyes of
man, and a mouth speaking great things.
The Antichrist will come speaking great things to Israel and the entire world! Jesus had warned Israel of old that they would reject Him who came in His Father's name, but one who came in his own name -HIM they would accept!
John 5:43-47 - I am come in my Father's
name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will
receive. [44] How can ye believe, which receive honor one of another, and seek
not the honor that cometh from God only? [45] Do not think that I will accuse
you to the Father: there is one that accuses you, even Moses, in whom ye trust.
[46] For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me.
[47] But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?
What is happening even now is setting
the stage for these events just on the horizon. We are living in epic Biblical
times! In light of these biblical scenarios, we encourage you to keep God's
strategies and prophetic plans close to your heart. That is the purpose of
this message today. It is the first part of several upcoming on this topic. Our
hearts have been broken at the scenes of utter destruction and decimation in New
Orleans as the result of Katrina. But neighbor, the scenes of Israeli settlers
leaving their homes, some after having been there for nearly 30 years, was ALSO
heartbreaking!
According to Avner Boskey and David Trent's prophetic word, here are some fleeting descriptions of scenes of Jewish Gaza children and grown men weeping, that flashed across Israeli TV screens this week:
A small tot steps outside his house -- unaware that his parents are about to be removed -- and shyly hands out tiny cookies to the soldiers waiting to enter. A three-year-old riding out of his home on the broad shoulders of an IDF officer asks with a big smile, "Are we going out for a fun ride
Another three-year-old girl runs over to an IDF commander (who has just explained to her parents that they are about to be evacuated) and gives him a big kiss and an even bigger smile. A small class of eight-year-old boys chant Psalm 130 as soldiers wait to evacuate them from their schoolroom ("Out of the depths I cry to You, O Lord! Hear my voice!")
As the army and police announce to Morag resident Yuval Unterman that he needs to evacuate his home, he quietly rips his shirt (a sign of Jewish religious mourning) and stands wordless in front of the soldiers. As the Shamash (synagogue attendant) opens the Netzarim synagogue ark where the Torah scrolls are housed (in order to remove them and evacuate them as well), he staggers and buries his face in his hands, shaking with sobs.
Tekoa Rabbi Menahem Fruman, known for his heart-to-heart dialogue with neighboring Arab communities near Bethlehem, tenderly removes a Torah scroll from the Neve Dekalim synagogue -- his long, wispy, white beard wrapped around the scroll -- crying. He walks slowly out of the synagogue, his face creased with agonized tears. A Holocaust survivor, dressed in his original prison camp uniform, kisses soldiers who have come to evacuate him, and leaves his home weeping.
Soldiers Showing Incredible Restraint and Kindness in Gaza
One of Israel's most respected and decorated soldiers, Colonel Erez Tzukerman, commander of the famed Golani Brigade, quietly listens as a Gaza resident (a former soldier under his command) weeps and shakes at the fact that his commander and brother-in-arms is evacuating him from his own home. Erez nods his head in understanding, does not react or defend himself as he is yelled at, and then embraces the soldier as they cry together.
A 25-year-old commander quietly listens to the Fitusi family explain all the terrorism they have endured, read aloud a letter that the six-year-old daughter has written to be read to the soldiers, and then slowly walks out the door to prepare for the family's evacuation. A five-year-old boy comes over to him; the commander crouches to talk with him, kisses him on the head, and asks quietly, "Do you hate me?"
IDF Southern Command General Dan Harel and Southern District Police Chief Commander Uri Bar-Lev openly weep in different Gaza synagogues as their own forces get ready to evacuate the buildings of praying Jews. Soldiers carrying a "hilltop youth" out of a yeshiva in Homesh, Northern Samaria, lay him down gently on the ground and then hug him. He gets up and runs over to the Torah scroll being evacuated and kisses it, weeping.
A young woman soldier who has just evacuated a family from their home goes behind a bus (where she can be alone) and begins to groan and wail deeply over what she has just seen.
One soldier told me that he wandered around one of the abandoned towns after the evacuation and saw over a hundred hungry, abandoned dogs and cats; empty houses ghost-like in their stillness, with chocolate milk still on kitchen counters, freshly made bread barely taken out of open ovens, food still on the tables, half-empty fridges -- as if the Rapture had just taken place.
The lives of those evacuated have been severely shaken. Many have left homes that up to four generations have lived in. For many, their communities were all that they have ever experienced. They are now, for the most part, living in temporary housing or crowded into hotel rooms, awaiting the outcome of slow government bureaucratic processes.
And almost in an eerie repeat, here are the events in America from August 22-29th, when the storm hit the U.S. Gulf Coast:
Below are President Bush’s statements
pertaining to Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon and Israel’s completion of
their disengagement evacuation. These excerpts are from speeches on Aug.
22–23 as the President Honors Veterans of Foreign Wars at National
Convention Salt Palace Convention Center – Salt Lake City, Utah – Aug. 22,
2005
Note: The following is an excerpt from President Bush’s speech pertaining to
Israel.
"In the heart of the Middle East, a hopeful story is unfolding. After
decades of shattered promises and stolen lives, peace is within reach in the
Holy Land. The Palestinian people have expressed their desire for
sovereignty and peace in free and fair elections. President Abbas has
rejected violence and taken steps toward democratic reform. This past week,
Prime Minister Sharon and the Israeli people took a courageous and painful
step by beginning to remove settlements in Gaza and parts of the northern
West Bank. The Israeli disengagement is an historic step that reflects the
bold leadership of Prime Minister Sharon.
Both Israelis and Palestinians have elected governments committed to peace
and progress, and the way forward is clear. We’re working for a return to
the road map. We’re helping the Palestinians to prepare for self-government
and to defeat terrorists who attack Israel, and terrorists who oppose the
establishment of a peaceful Palestinian state. We’re providing $50 million
in direct assistance to the Palestinians for new housing and infrastructure
projects in Gaza. We remain fully committed to defending the security and
well-being of our friend and ally, Israel, and we demand an end to terrorism
and violence in every form, because we know that progress toward peace
depends on an end to terror. We’ll continue working for the day when the map
of the Middle East shows two democratic states, Israel and Palestine, living
side-by-side in peace and security. "
President Bush Talks with White House
Press Pool Tamarack Resort – Donnelly, Idaho – Aug. 23, 2005
(www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2005/08/20050823.html)
Note: The following is an excerpt from President Bush’s press briefing.
He congratulates Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon on the completion of
the Gaza evacuation.
"First of all, I want to congratulate Prime Minister Sharon for having made
a very tough decision. As I said in my remarks yesterday in Salt Lake City,
the Prime Minister made a courageous decision to withdraw from the Gaza. We
have got Jim Wolfensohn, the former head of the World Bank, on the ground,
helping President Abbas develop a government that responds to the will of
the folks in Gaza. In other words, this is step one in the development of a
democracy.
And so to answer your question, what must take place next is the
establishment of a working government in Gaza, a government that responds to
the people. President Abbas has made a commitment to fight off the violence,
because he understands a democracy can't exist with terrorist groups trying
to take the law into their own hands.
Along these lines, we’ve also got Gen. Ward on the ground, helping the
Palestinians consolidate their security forces. It turns out that the
post-Arafat regime is one of different factions and different security
forces that were really in place to kind of maintain his power, but not
necessarily to protect the overall security of the Palestinian people. It’s
in their interest to consolidate the security forces, so that there is a —
the government has got a vehicle and a group of folks by which to help
enforce order.
You asked about the road map. Of course you want to get back to the road
map. But I understand that in order for this process to go forward, there
must be confidence — confidence that the Palestinian people will have in
their own government to perform, confidence with the Israelis that they'll
see a peaceful state emerging. And therefore it’s very important for the
world to stay focused on Gaza, and helping Gaza — helping the Gaza economy
get going, helping rebuild the settlements for Gaza — for the people of
Gaza.
This is a very hopeful period. Again, I applaud Prime Minister Sharon for
making a decision that has really changed the dynamics on the ground, and
has really provided hope for the Palestinian people. My vision, my hope, is
that one day we’ll see two states — two democratic states — living
side-by-side in peace."
Tropical Depression 12 Becomes Katrina
Israel’s disengagement evacuation and eviction began on Wednesday, Aug. 17, and ended on Tuesday, Aug. 23.
According to CNN, Israel evacuated the
last settlers and protesters from the West Bank settlement of Homesh on
Tuesday, Aug. 23, completing its historic withdrawal of civilians from 25
settlements in Gaza and the West Bank. (Gaza’s final evacuation occurred on
Monday, Aug. 22.)
“Today, we accomplished the first phase of the disengagement process ...
related to evacuation of the civilians,” said Israel Defense Forces Chief of
Staff, Lt. Gen. Dan Halutz.
Israeli forces planned to remove the settlers’ belongings, destroy their houses and then withdraw from Gaza.
Authorities used force at times on Tuesday, Aug. 23, to clear the two remaining West Bank settlements — Homesh and Sanur.
On Tuesday afternoon, Aug. 23, 2005, Tropical Depression 12 formed.
By 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 24, the newly-formed tropical depression was upgraded to Tropical Storm Katrina; and by 5 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 25, Katrina became a hurricane.
On Friday, Aug. 26, Hurricane Katrina hit Southeast Florida.
By Monday, Aug. 29, Katrina had become a fierce and enormous Category 4 hurricane that hit Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama — devastating the city of New Orleans. It is now being called the largest natural disaster in U.S. history.
Israel’s Gaza and northern Samaria settlements were under military occupation during the time of the evacuation, and New Orleans was under military occupation as they attempted to restore order. As in a war zone, military bases are being established in a city divided into sectors, while the navy has moved warships up the Mississippi for helicopter operations.
On Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2005, Israeli
Prime Minister Ariel Sharon authorized the mandatory evacuation of residents
refusing to evacuate Gaza. On, Wednesday, September 7, 2005, an hour
after New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin ordered the mandatory evacuation of the
crippled Crescent City — by force, if necessary, soldiers began coaxing some
of Hurricane Katrina’s holdouts from their homes due to fire and disease
risks.
“We have thousands of people who want to voluntarily evacuate at this
time,” Police Chief Eddie Compass said, adding that once they all were out,
“we'll concentrate our forces on mandatory evacuation.”
Israeli settlers stated that the Gaza
and Samaria evictions will go down as the worst abandonment of Jews in
history and the largest forced evacuation in Israel’s history. Katrina has
produced the largest mass migration and evacuation in U.S. history as
hundreds of thousands of people were forced from their homes. The media and
the Democrats say the White House abandoned black residents of New Orleans
by not getting them help fast enough. Aaron Brousard, the president of
Louisiana’s Jefferson Parish, said on NBC’s “Meet the Press” that the
response to Hurricane Katrina will go down as one of the worst abandonments
of Americans on American soil ever in U.S. history.”
Nine thousand Israelis were evicted by
their government. Shortly thereafter, one million Americans were evicted by
Hurricane Katrina. Israeli security teams went from home to home
to evict Israelis, while teams of soldiers went home to home in New Orleans
evicting people.
Israel has an evacuee problem with people
spread throughout Israel in hotels, lodged in makeshift homes, and living in
tents. Texas and other U.S. states are absorbing record numbers of Katrina
evacuees. President Bush’s home state of Texas has more than 250,000
evacuees. Houston’s Astrodome is filled with 33,000 people. There are
150,000 refugees in Houston’s 55,000 hotel rooms, 20 Red Cross facilities
and 20 faith-based shelters. While 2,700 homes were demolished in Gaza
and 300 homes in northern Samaria, tens of thousands of homes were
demolished in the Southern U.S., with many more severely damaged.
Businesses were forcefully abandoned in
Gaza Israel — many businesses will have to be abandoned in Louisiana and
other Gulf Coast cities.
Buses took Israelis out of Gaza and
northern Samaria to their temporary homes while buses took New Orleans
residents to their temporary homes in Texas and other southern states.
Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon saw
the largest eviction of Jews in Israel’s history. President Bush will
oversee the largest natural disaster and displacement of people in U.S.
history.
Yet despite the enormous influx from
across the U.S. of National Guard, reservists, units of the federal army and
marines, the coastguard, airmen, firefighters from Los Angeles and even
Texas game wardens in boats, the logistics of evacuating the remaining
residents from the flooded suburbs, and collecting possibly thousands of
bodies, present enormous challenges. They also expose flaws in management
structure and communications.
Gush Katif was a very important
agricultural area for Israel. New Orleans’ port exported much of the
Midwest's agricultural production.
White House Press Secretary Scott
McClellan
Note: Scott McClellan provided this Katrina information late
Tuesday, September 6:
"[We have] 559 shelters in place, and more than 180,000
people housed in those shelters. People in shelters received 11.3 million
MREs [Military Ready-to-Eat meals]. You’ve had 18 million liters of water
provided. And there are more than 75,000 response, rescue — rescue, recovery
and law enforcement personnel that continue to work around the clock to get
critical assistance to people in need. We now have more than 60,000 active
duty and National Guard personnel on the ground or aboard ships that are
supporting the relief operations; some 20 U.S. Navy ships are in the
operational area. You have 360 helicopters, 93 airplanes that are involved
in this. The Department of Defense has provided extensive search and rescue,
evacuation and medical support. And the Corps of Engineers has closed that
17th Street Canal levee breach and begun pumping water out from that area.
President Bush requested $51.8 billion in additional funding for the
immediate needs of the people affected by Hurricane Katrina. Last week,
Congress moved quickly to approve the President's initial request of $10.5
billion for immediate needs of people in the Gulf states that were hit by
Katrina. At this point, I can tell you that $50 billion of the supplemental
request will go to FEMA; $1.4 billion will go to the Department of Defense;
and $400 million will go to the Army Corps of Engineers. This will not be
the last request for the response to the disaster there. We anticipate that
there will be a need for additional supplemental spending, especially in the
process of recovery there in the Gulf area. "
Thousands of National Guardsmen with
food, water and weapons streamed into Louisiana on Friday, September 2, to
bring relief to New Orleans’ suffering multitudes and put down the looting
and violence. “The cavalry is and will continue to arrive,” said one
general.
Ariel Sharon’s Condolences
Ariel Sharon: “I would like to send our condolences to the American
people and to people in the southern U.S. who were struck by such a severe
disaster. It seems to me that the U.S. has been caught up in one of its
worst disasters ever. Last week I sent a letter to U.S. President George
Bush in which I expressed my condolences and those of the Israeli people
over the disaster.”
Judgment
The replacement theology advocates
and/ or believers who believe the Church has replaced the Jewish people as God’s
chosen, not grafted in according to Romans 11, see Katrina as a tragic event and
no connection to judgment over Israel’s recent evacuation and/or the sins of the
U.S. Those who believe the Bible from Genesis to Revelation, and don’t see
Bible prophecy as allegorical, see Katrina as judgment and/or the birth pangs
that will lead to much more in the days ahead. Isn’t it sadly ironic that the
three areas of greatest debate in the church today are whether: (1) the land
of Israel should (or should not) be divided, (2) the Church has replaced Israel,
and (3) God has a hand in enormous natural disasters.
Today, the media and many in our
communities say Mother Nature is responsible for major disasters, rather than
calling them “acts of God” — which can be very convicting to those who don’t
acknowledge God’s existence.
According to traditional history,
when there were major disasters in the 18th and 19th centuries, American pastors
typically called for national and/or regional repentance for the sins of the
people. Today, we hear very little of that, especially from those who attend
replacement theology churches.
We
must pray that God will use the pain of the eviction to point these people's
hearts to Himself and the ultimate act of love He gave a fallen race through
Yeshua, the Messiah, and Him Crucified! Pray for their resettlement to the east
of the Gaza Strip, and for the daunting physical needs involved. Pray for the
soldiers who have taken the brunt of evacuating Gaza's Jews. Pray that God will
speak to them in their hearts and use the residual pain to open their hearts to
Him, to ask questions that only He can and will answer.
We encourage you to pray for our
country, America-- that it would bless and protect Israel and the Jewish people,
and not turn against them. We encourage you to intercede for Israel's protection
and salvation. We encourage you to reach out to Jewish people around you -- your
Jewish friends and acquaintances -- and to share the good news of their Messiah
Yeshua's life, atoning death, and amazing resurrection. We encourage you to
prepare for the coming wave of anti-Jewish persecution, terror, and future
holocaust. How will we be able to save Jewish lives and protect them as they
return to their promised land? And what will we, the American church, do when
the prophesied persecution against the Jewish race takes place? Jim Goll, a
prophetic minister, said that on the morning of September 11th, 2001, the Lord
spoke to him and said, "the time of the hunters has begun," referring to a
passage in Jeremiah when the nation of Israel was warned that if they refused
the time of the fishermen, the hunters would follow and destroy them.
Neighbor, it's getting late. It's the time of harvest for the sons of Abraham and Satan is fighting it with every last effort he can muster. The prayers of the saints will make a HUGE difference in whether this battle is won or lost! Israel is the apple of God's eye and those who touch her, touch HIM! This message is going to be continued in Part Two in the next day or two then in several journals upcoming. This subject is too large to cover in just one. We are hoping to have our Israel and the Land study up soon that will give you a full detailed study of what is exactly at stake in this prophetic confrontation between the forces of Islam, the Arab world and the sons of Abraham! Blessings and God Bless.
