A Prophetic Word From The Lord Concerning Events At Virginia Tech on Monday, April 16, 2007

Spoken to me in the early morning hours of Tuesday, April 17, 2007

I like many of you watched in horror Monday afternoon as the news reports started coming in concerning the awful tragedy that befell 33 souls in Blacksburg, Virginia on the campus of Virginia Tech University.  A 23-year old Asian student took two 9 mm handguns and systematically killed 32 people in two separate shooting incidents before turning the gun on himself. The more I watched throughout the day it became more and more apparent with each hour that this event was more than just a small school shooting, but as we found out late in the evening that it became America's worst single day shooting in our history.

I stayed up into the wee hours of the morning on Tuesday, severely burdened about the  shootings, not only for the families who lost their sons and daughters in this senseless killing, but for the heart and soul of our nation, which seems to be teetering on oblivion with each passing day. I worked at times during the night up until 4 AM when I finally got into bed, but spent most of the time weeping at intervals as each new story that came on the news told of a different angle of loss, heartache and shock that was experienced by the students at Va. Tech, but also the shock that shook America as a whole.

I quietly asked the Lord right before I went to bed, "Why Virginia Tech Lord, why did this horrible tragedy take place there;? for it to be the deadliest single day shooting in American history there has to be a reason for this and why it happened specifically on a college campus in America's oldest state" Nothing came back from the Lord as I asked that so I took His silence to mean maybe there was no real reason, just a horrible tragedy that befell Adam's fallen race.

My own question made me pause and research the history of Virginia a bit which I did and found several interesting facts about the place of America's first colonial settlement.

The Virginia Company founded the first permanent English colony at Jamestown in 1607. One of the original 13 states (it entered the Union in 1788), Virginia was named for Elizabeth I, the Virgin Queen of England and holds an important place in American history, as it was home to many of the founding fathers, including George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, George Mason, and Patrick Henry. Four of America's first five presidents were Virginians and during the Civil War, Richmond, Virginia's capital, was the capital of the Confederacy. Historic cities such as Alexandria, Williamsburg, and Mount Vernon, George Washington's estate, remain in good shape. The dogwood is the state flower and the cardinal is the state bird; Virginia is known as "Old Dominion."

I got up this morning, got into the shower and as only the Lord can do in about 5 seconds He answered my question even though it was not the answer I was expecting.

Sometimes when judgment is decreed upon a nation and a state that does not necessarily mean that judgment will take place right away. Many times God delays judgment for various reasons known only to Him but once something is decreed and there is not repentance to stay that judgment, judgment WILL come!

In November of 2006 the power structure over our nation changed -both in the heavenlies and here in the natural - as we removed power from one political party and placed it in another during the mid-term Congressional elections.  I remember praying hard over the nation the days before the election and standing in the voter line feeling that something was coming  that would change this nation's landscape but it was still my duty to pray and vote. As expected the party in power experienced tremendous losses in the House of Representatives but the entire structure of power in the Senate came down to one final outcome in one state of the union - VIRGINIA.

The race between former Sen. George Allen, who was by all viewpoints a believer in Jesus, (we're not 100% sure of that but we know he professed he knew Christ) and Jim Webb, a rather unknown candidate but someone who promised to pull America out of Iraq but also pushed stem-cell research, turned out to be decided by less than 1% of the vote! Webb's thin margin in the general election (less than 1%) kept the outcome uncertain for nearly two days after polls closed on November 7, and provided the final seat that tilted the Senate to Democratic control.

(FOR THE MILLIONTH TIME WE ARE NOT BASHING A PARTY OR INSINUATING ANYTHING ABOUT MONDAY'S EVENTS WERE TIED TO THE CONTROL OF CONGRESS; WE'RE NOT TALKING ABOUT POLITICS HERE WHATSOEVER AS SOME HAVE TAKEN THIS WORD TO BE - GOD IS NOT INTO POLITICS BUT HE IS VERY MUCH INTO PRESERVING LIFE AND A NATION PROTECTING THE SANCTITY OF LIFE AS MUCH AS HUMANLY POSSIBLE -THIS IS ABOUT THE ISSUE OF LIFE AND DEATH AND THE SHEDDING OF INNOCENT BLOOD AND HOW THE LORD RELATED HIS DIVINE DISPLEASURE TO US ON TUESDAY)

As a result of the vote tally in Virginia, the power shift over America was complete as the Democratic majority was now 51-49 which put them in charge of all committees. If Allen would have won, the balance would have been 50-50 and because of Vice President Dick Cheney, the party in place at the time would have kept power which is not the issue. To be frank, most prophetic people we've spoken with since November saw the election as judgment ON the Republican Party for losing its moral way in the areas of homosexuality and abortion - two sins that are destroying the foundational fiber of this nation rapidly and sins that the prophetic voice of the church has ceased to decry and denounce.

Congress is now in the hands of people, who for the most part with very very few exceptions, support the shedding of innocent blood, the promotion of homosexuality as a normal lifestyle, same-sex marriage, and the backing of stem-cell research, which is in effect a type of abortion in my humble opinion just more refined and not as offensive to swallow as a doctor with a knife yanking a baby out of the womb of its mother would be.

Her statement on Wednesday, April 18, a few hours after the Supreme Court upheld the ban on partial birth abortion by a 5-4 vote:

The warnings by some prior to November 2006 were similar to the late winter of 1999 and 2000 when Prophet Jonathan Hansen warned those in New York state to not elect and vote in Hilary Clinton for their Senator, or as he put it "blood will run down the faces of your citizens" in the near future if they spurned God's warning. He was mocked, lampooned, laughed at, threatened, and ridiculed severely by city and state leaders, as well as many church leaders;  but when 9-11 took place, the first place where blood ran down the faces of people was NEW YORK CITY.

Just three days prior to April 16, 2007, the President was handed an ungodly bill on stem cell research that was backed strongly by many Senators - including BOTH OF VIRGINIA'S SENATORS - Sen. John Warner and Sen. Webb, who again were two of the main power brokers behind this bill.  The bill would make legal the use of live fetus tissue in the stem-cell research process, a bill President Bush calls immoral and has vowed to veto.

Virginia's two Senators pushed a bill that disrespected life and on Monday innocent life was taken on one of Virginia's largest campuses. I felt the Lord speak and say because it was Virginia that gave power to those in the nation who wish to turn their back on innocent life by supporting abortion (WARNER IS JUST AS MUCH AN ADVOCATE OF A WOMAN'S RIGHT TO ABORT A BABY AS WEBB),  He lifted his hand of protection off of Virginia and as a result darkness descended upon one of Virginia's largest campuses, innocent life was lost, and a nation was sent back into mourning unlike it has mourned since 9-11-2001.

 The shootings were almost 6 months to the DAY after the elections in November. Draw what conclusions you will but nothing of this magnitude and scope happens haphazardly. Some may say well this is just part of the course of events that transpire as a result of Adam's fallen race. That may actually have some truth in it but basing what I felt on me Tuesday morning I believe more was being stated through WHERE this tragedy took place, HOW it took place, and WHEN it took place.

A great tragedy struck "Old Dominion," and was a warning to America that her dominion is about to be threatened if we don't turn to God and REPENT - from the least to the greatest - and REPENT NOW! This stem-cell research bill is a serious issue that tests our nation's heart and soul and how we view life friend. Make no mistake as to where God comes down on this issue! He is not the author of killing innocent fetuses and murdering babies - no matter what doctors claim of how valuable it is in research. Life is not a research project - it's PRECIOUS in the sight of God!!

As I tried to let this soak into my heart early Tuesday morning, I had to literally sit down for several minutes under the weight of it all. As I sat on the edge of bed numb, I saw for the first time on TV the face of the young man who did the shootings; he was a 23-year old Asian from South Korea, who came to America from China in August 2006 - three months prior to the November elections, and about 9 months prior to this tragedy.

As I watched his face, I can't explain this in words, but I could see him with those two guns shooting the students, the teachers and his girlfriend; as I did so through the Spirit, the Holy Spirit spoke again and said something chilling concerning AMERICA, our nation:

 "Look at his cultural descent; that is a prophetic picture and portrait of the face of the enemy who is soon to come to America and kill innocent lives in the future." It hit me immediately that the Holy Spirit was talking of a possible, if not probable, coming war between America and N. Korea, and China, perhaps S. Korea should something tragic happen and it turn communist and the two Koreas unite. Don't laugh at that last scenario.

The China scenario is even more interesting for in China there is a law on the books that FORCES abortions on women after they have so many children. I remember the Lord speaking to my friend Nita Johnson many years ago and warning her that if America did not cease to shed innocent blood, He was going to bring upon us the judgment and curse that is upon China and as a result women here in America would be forced to have abortions against their will just as they are in China at the present time.  That was decreed nearly 20 years ago and today as we continue to fight against global terrorism our resources are being depleted should a war with China come.

All of this was causing me to just weep profusely and fall to my face by my bed asking the Lord for confirmation as to what He was saying to me. He was not finished speaking however, when He then showed me the ISRAELI professor who stood in the door and tried to keep the killer out as long as possible, screaming, warning kids to run before the gunman broke through and shot him and many others who were not able to get away in the classroom. The professor died saving lives.

The Holy Spirit dealt with my heart again and said, "his death is prophetic and a warning to America." ISRAEL is what stands between America and the coming war with China and other enemies seeking to destroy her. If America stands in the gap for Israel as this professor stood in the gap for those students I will keep the enemies out of your nation and off your soil. If America betrays Israel the killers will overrun the land as the gunman today overran the class room and systematically killed dozens. Hospital reports say that NONE of the victims had less than 3 bullet wounds in their bodies. To quote one official, "He was brutal on his victims." America's enemies are going to be brutal on us if we don't support Israel and stand in the gap for her in these last days!

Sufficient to say I have spent most of the morning in tears and deep travail of soul. I had been feeling a dread for weeks that something was coming upon our nation - I just told Lisa a few weeks ago those very thoughts and told her I was not sure what it was but it was going to be big and life would be lost.
 

As to whether what you read just now is of the Lord, I took this word and ran it by several people, many of which had prophetic gifts. The Bible tells us when we receive prophetic words to let one speak and let two or three judge what is spoken to see whether it be of God. Before we posted this we wanted to do just that. We had 4 emails immediately returned that said, "we bear witness this is from the Lord; our hearts have been troubled as well."

One of the dear saints I shared this word with told me Monday night before I received this word early Tuesday that she had been warned in a dream/vision on Saturday that a shooting was about to occur very soon but was not given the timing or the location. She shared her vision with her husband who told her Monday night jokingly, "I'm scared of you!"

The priest on TV interviewed the night of the shooting claimed that the goodness of Virginia Tech's remaining students will overcome this evil that was done. I tenderly respectfully disagree because it is man's goodness many times that blinds him to his utter need for God and his utter peril in not being born again and as a result under the wrath of God. Yes, good will come, but only if the presence of the Lord truly comes to Virginia Tech and through this tragedy souls come to Christ in saving faith.

33 souls woke up Monday morning not knowing or realizing that same day would be their last day on earth. Let us soberly understand that with fear and trembling and tears.

On Tuesday the nation watched Virginia Tech mourn their dead in a memorial prayer service where there was not ONE mention in the entire memorial about Jesus Christ other than a brief comment made by Virginia Governor Tim Kane;  yet, there were three "ministers" - one from Islam, Buddhism and a female Lutheran, who in some ways was worse than the Muslim and Buddhist. The Muslim prayed to Allah in front of the students, the Buddhist proclaimed the Dali lama's words were the words that would bring healing to the souls of those there, and the Lutheran, who at least quoted Ecclesiastes from the Bible, never even mentioned the name of the God of the Bible - ONCE.

The networks lauded the event as a success because "every religion can come together and mourn," as one commentator put it. That statement is actually true if we're speaking of ecumenical unity without God which is what MOST efforts of unity are doing today.  The hurting souls of Virginia Tech will only find true solace through the loving arms of Jesus Christ and through faith in what He did for them at the Cross. There is NO other way or means through which this can take place. As Americans we respect the rights of ALL religions to worship who they will; that is what is termed, "Freedom of religion." But freedom of religion has nothing to do with eternity!

When our founding fathers established freedom of religion they had the worship of the true God in mind, not the worship of the God of Islam, the God of Buddhism, the god of the New Age, or whatever other god one seeks to worship and still live their lives to themselves. The call of the Cross is the call to deny one's self, to take up one's cross and follow after CHRIST, not follow after some psychological module or formula!

The leader of the prayer event stated to the Va. Tech students, "You've done nothing to deserve this," which is true in the sense no one at Va. Tech made this suicidal maniac do what he did; but in the scope of eternity the fallen sons of Adam's race ALL stand guilty before God and deserve hell itself outside the saving grace of Christ. There is no such thing as "innocents," in the sight of God if that makes sense. Man was born GUILTY before God and has no covering from the powers of darkness outside the power and covering of the CROSS!

Some of the 33 who died Monday I hope were saved; the reality is that some were not and probably the facts are MOST were not. Those lost went to the same place as this killer and ALL who die without Christ will spend eternity separated from God - no matter how moral they may be.

THIS is what broke my heart more than even the natural hurt I felt on Monday and still feel for the parents who lost sons and daughters - sons and daughters who will never come home for another Christmas, another Thanksgiving, or another summer.

We don't say these things to sound callous to the hurt most are feeling right now but we state these things as what we feel the Lord spoke to our heart Tuesday morning. We bathe these words in love which will speak the truth and not lie about the spiritual condition of our nation. God's love reaches now to those who survived the tragedy at Virginia Tech, which is a campus like other campuses across America - in need of revival!

 Tears have been shed before we wrote this - many tears and many moments alone with the Lord - whose heart breaks over the condition of our nation as a Father hurts for a wayward son. He loves America and He loves those lost in Monday's tragedy. His love however goes beyond human understanding and was expressed in it's entirety and fullness 2,000 years ago on a bloody cross in the form of His Son, Jesus Christ. Outside the revelation of the Cross, what man considers love is not true love! God's love redeems fallen humanity and seeks to bring man into a right relationship with God before it is eternally too late.

America needs to repent of its sins - homosexuality, abortion, self-righteousness, greed, malice, idolatry, anger, murder, hate, racism, and political harlotry. As we pray for the families this coming week, we all, young and old alike, male or female, white or black, Asian or Caucasian, need to take a deep look inside each our hearts. Just like 9-11-2001, everyone promises our goodness is going to get us through this tragedy.  That is not so - our goodness can only get us through if it points us to the goodness and mercy of God in all things and Christ Jesus is glorified.

Above all things we pray for the students' families who lost loved ones. We pray for healing to begin not just on the Virginia Tech campus but across our land; healing will come if we will humble ourselves before the mighty hand of a loving God whose mercy endures forever! Those young men and women could have been our sons and daughters just as easy. I sat down Monday night and gave my two daughters and son an extra hug before they went to bed and thanked God for their safety. We would all be wise to do the same.

The TRUTH, which is what sets us free, is there IS no goodness in man and if there is any goodness whatsoever, it will never deliver man from the evil that is there as well. Only the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ can set the captive free and deliver us from the powers of darkness.

THIS WORD IS ABOUT LOOKING BEYOND THE TRAGEDY TO THE ETERNAL MESSAGE THAT HAS BEEN LOST THAT WE ALL FACE A COMING TIME WHEN WE WILL SPEND ETERNITY EITHER WITH GOD OR SEPARATED FROM GOD. That is what I pray the Holy Spirit conveys to you today.
